- Dry Ice is solid carbon dioxide (CO2).
- Dry Ice is very cold (-109 ° F).
- Dry Ice sublimates (changes directly from a solid to a gas).
Dry Ice is used primarily for keeping frozen things frozen. Dry Ice works best and lasts longest in a well insulated cooler. It is constantly sublimating. You can not stop it from disappearing, but a good cooler can slow down the process.
We recommend that you buy dry ice as close to the time of use as possible, have your cooler with you when you pick it up, and have the product already frozen before you pack your cooler.
Dry ice is available in block form. When dry ice is full and fresh, a fifty pound block is approximately 10" X 10" X 10". A slab is approximately 17 pounds and roughly 10" X 10" X 3". A brick (half slab) is about the size of a red house brick and weighs about eight pounds.
*** Eight pounds is our
MINIMUM sale.***
Dry Ice pellets are available for HALLOWEEN. We can special order pellets, disks, uncut blocks, etc. in larger quantities (> 500 pounds), with adequate notice.
Delivery is available with a 500 pound minimum.
